16.09.2011- Weekend Wishes

Hello! Firstly, I am so so sorry for not posting at all over the last week, my hard drive completely gave up the ghost and my computer has only returned from the menders today! Needless to say I have a lot to catch up on! Anyway, forgetting about that for a moment and celebrating the weekend; I wish I could spend mine chanelling the timeless style of Marilyn Monroe as well as Michelle Williams does in the October issue of US Vogue:

Michelle Williams photographed by Annie Leibovitz and styled by Tonne Goodman, US Vogue October 2011.
Doesn't she look stunning? I can't wait to see her performance in My Week With Marilyn when the film is released in November.

What are your plans for the weekend?

10.09.2011- My Month in Pictures: August

My August came and went in a flash! All in all it was a pretty busy month, and alas not many opportunities to take photographs as I have been busy working/interning/freaking out about being a grown up! Here are the few pictures I did manage to snap:

5th August- Painted my nails in Mavala's Elle Orange, which came free with the September issue of ELLE. Beautifully bright to make up for the dreary weather!

5th August- Received this vintage Liberty print scarf as a belated birthday present from my lovely friend Liz.

17th August- Had my lovely, spacious new sliding wardrobe fitted as my old one was falling to bits. The hanging space is amazing!

18th August- Splashed out and treated myself to two Clinique skincare products (they have done wonders for my face!) and got these lovely free goodies as part of their 'Bonus Time' promotion.

27th August- Spent a day I had off work shopping in London town, and caught this rainbow on the way home!

How was your August?

09.09.2011- Weekend Wishes

This weekend, I wish I could carry off the 60s look as well as a certain Miss Chung does in the latest issue of UK Harper's Bazaar ...

05.09.2011- Monday Must-haves: Winter Coat edition

Hello my lovelies! Hope you all had wonderful weekends. I know I probably sound like a broken record, but I honestly can't believe it's September already- the year has really flown by. Whilst I'm not really looking forward to the winter (dark mornings are the creation of the devil), one thing I am excited about is shopping for some new season essentials. So, with that in mind, this week's Must-haves post is appropriately winter themed, and features my pick of the best new season coats I've seen so far:

I have to confess, I'm a bit of a coat addict. Every year I vow not to cave in and buy myself a new one, and every year, without fail, I fail! I love this mustard yellow swing coat from Topshop, the bright colour would be the perfect boost during the gloomy winter months and the 60s inspired shape is bang on trend. I've yet to be convinced by capes (the idea of being exposed to a draught is one which makes me flinch!) but this gorgeous brown version from ASOS might just convert me- it certainly looks lovely and cosy. The classic camel coat will be forever stylish, and the belt detail on this one from Diana Vickers' collection for Very creates the perfect cinched in shape, and the colour is heavenly. I love the aviator style collar on this Pins & Needles trench from Urban Outfitters, and the muted neutral tones make it a really versatile piece. Finally, I think this Darling coat may just be the perfect addition to any wardrobe for AW11; it incorporates three trends in one- the collar detail, princess shape and deep burgundy colour. Decisions, decisions...

Have you picked up your winter coat yet? And what do you make of my choices for this week?

04.09.2011- Sunday Style Spotlight #3: Diane Kruger

Diane Kruger has got to be one of the most consistently stylish stars on the red carpet at the moment. She was one of my favourites from the MET gala earlier in the year, and as a former model, Diane certainly knows a thing or two about fashion. As well as being unveiled as the face of Calvin Klein's Beauty last year, she is also a friend of Karl Lagerfeld and a regular front row fixture at fashion week. I love Diane's style because it's so feminine, elegant and polished, but at the same time she's not afraid to take a risk here and there, regularly experimenting with shape and colour on the red carpet:

To replicate Diane's signature style, think embellished dresses (after all, who doesn't love a bit of sparkle?) mixed up with quirky accessories such as bows and these adorable two-tone brogues. Take further inspiration from her flawless hair and make-up and you're there!

Are you a fan of Diane Kruger's style? What are your favourite of her red carpet looks?

02.09.2011- Weekend Wishes

This weekend, I wish I could look this good on the dance floor....

Lanvin Fall 2011, starring Karen Elson and Raquel Zimmermann.

Better get practicing my moves! Also, apologies for the lack of posts over the last week, I am busy interning at the moment, and am graduating next week (scary stuff!) Will try and get back to more regular posting once I've caught up on some sleep.

What have you got planned for the weekend?
